If you're in the heart of Port Douglas, start at the Port Douglas Information Centre located at 2/4 Macrossan St, Port Douglas QLD 4877. From there, head north on Macrossan Street towards the Esplanade. Turn right onto the Esplanade and continue walking straight. You'll pass several shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing to Four Mile Beach. The beach begins at the end of the Esplanade, and you will reach Four Mile Beach approximately 1 kilometer from the Information Centre.

For a more scenic route, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops, such as 'Port Douglas Bike Hire' on Macrossan Street. After renting your bike, head north on Macrossan Street and take a right onto the Esplanade. Cycle along the Esplanade, enjoying views of the ocean. The ride to Four Mile Beach will take about 5-10 minutes, and you'll see signs directing you to the beach as you approach the end of the Esplanade.
