Car

If you are driving from Sydney CBD, take the Eastern Distributor (M1) towards South Head. Continue on M1 and take the exit for Anzac Parade. Follow Anzac Parade south until you reach La Perouse. Turn left onto Bare Island Road. There is limited parking available near the entrance to Bare Island Fort, which may incur a small fee depending on the time of day.

Public Transportation - Bus

From Central Station in Sydney, take Bus 391 towards La Perouse. The bus will take you directly to La Perouse. Once you arrive at La Perouse, walk along the coastline towards Bare Island. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedules on the Transport for NSW website, as frequency may vary, especially on weekends.

Walking

If you are already in La Perouse, you can easily walk to Bare Island Fort. From the La Perouse beach area, follow the path along the coastline. There are clear signs directing you to Bare Island Fort. The walk is scenic and will take about 10-15 minutes.
