If you're driving from the Sydney CBD, take the M1 motorway towards Botany Bay. Exit onto Captain Cook Bridge (A1) and continue onto the A1. Follow the signs towards Kurnell, which will lead you onto Captain Cook Drive. Then turn onto Cape Solander Drive. The drive takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. There is free parking available at the Cape Solander lookout.
