Train
From Sydney Central Station, take the Central Coast & Newcastle Line train towards Newcastle. Make sure to check the train schedule for the latest departures. Alight at Ettalong Beach station. Once you arrive at Ettalong Beach station, you can either walk to the beach, which is about a 10-minute walk, or you can catch a local bus or taxi for a quicker option.
Bus
Take a bus from Circular Quay (look for bus stops that service routes to the Central Coast). You can take the 200 or 201 bus towards Woy Woy. Alight at Ettalong Beach. The bus ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once you get off, follow the signs towards the beach which is a short walk from the bus stop.
Ferry + Bus
Start at Circular Quay and take a ferry to Palm Beach. Once you arrive, transfer to the bus service that goes towards Ettalong Beach. You may need to check the bus schedule as there may be limited services. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. After arriving at Ettalong Beach stop, it's just a short walk to the beach area.
