Public Transport - Train
From Sydney Central Station, take the T1 North Shore & Central Coast Line train towards Gosford or Newcastle. Alight at Chatswood Station. Transfer to the T1 Northern Line train towards Hornsby. Get off at Collaroy Station. From Collaroy Station, it's about a 15-minute walk to Long Reef Aquatic Reserve. Head south on Collaroy Street, then turn right onto Pittwater Road. Follow Pittwater Road until you reach the beach. The reserve is located just north of Collaroy Beach.

Public Transport - Bus
From Sydney's CBD, catch the 199 or 200 bus from the QVB (Queen Victoria Building) towards Warriewood. Alight at Collaroy Beach (the bus stop is right by the beach). From there, walk north along the beach to reach Long Reef Aquatic Reserve. The walk is scenic and will take approximately 10 minutes.

If you're staying in Collaroy or nearby, simply walk to Collaroy Beach. The entrance to Long Reef Aquatic Reserve is located at the northern end of the beach. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach while heading north to reach the reserve.

If you're comfortable riding a bicycle, you can rent one from various rental spots in Sydney. Cycle along the Coastal Walk from Manly or Dee Why, which leads you to Collaroy Beach and the Long Reef Aquatic Reserve. The cycling paths are well-marked and offer stunning views of the coastline.
