Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading to the town of Deloraine, which is approximately 40 minutes from Launceston. From Deloraine, take the B12 road towards Meander. After about 15 minutes on the B12, you will arrive in the small town of Meander. Continue straight on the B12, which becomes the Meander Valley Road. After approximately 5 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Bastion Cascades. There is a small parking area nearby where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
To reach Bastion Cascades by public transport, first, take a bus from Launceston to Deloraine. The bus service (Tassielink) operates several times a day, so check the timetable for the most convenient option. Once you arrive in Deloraine, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Bastion Cascades, as public transport does not directly serve this attraction. The taxi ride from Deloraine to Bastion Cascades will take about 15-20 minutes and may cost around AUD 30-40.
Walking
If you're already in Meander and prefer to walk, you can reach Bastion Cascades on foot. From the center of Meander, head northwest along Meander Valley Road. It’s a 5-kilometer walk, which will take about an hour. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the path may have some steep sections.
