Getting There

• Car

  From the heart of the Tasmanian Wilderness area, head southeast on the A3 highway toward Launceston. Continue on the A3 for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the exit for the B71 towards St Marys. Follow the B71 for about 12 kilometers, then turn left onto Hollybank Road. Follow Hollybank Road for about 5 kilometers, and you will find Hollybank Forest at 17 Hollybank Rd, Underwood TAS 7268. Ensure you have a map or GPS handy, as some smaller roads may not be well signposted.

• Public Transportation

  If you are traveling by public transport, take a bus from Launceston to St Marys, which typically takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at St Marys, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to get to Hollybank Forest, as public transport directly to the forest is not available. The taxi ride from St Marys to Hollybank Forest will take approximately 15-20 minutes and may cost around AUD 30-40.

• Bike

  For the adventurous, biking from Launceston can be a great option. You can take the A3 highway to the B71, but ensure you stay safe on the road as it can be busy. The distance is approximately 50 kilometers and may take around 3-4 hours depending on your cycling speed and stops. Be prepared with water, snacks, and appropriate biking gear.
