Car
If you are driving from Hobart, head north on the Brooker Highway for approximately 2 hours (around 170 km). Follow signs to the Midlands Highway (A1) and continue until you reach the turn-off for the B51 towards Bothwell. Follow the B51 until you arrive in Bothwell, then take the C202 towards the Walls of Jerusalem National Park. The last stretch includes a gravel road that leads to the car park at the entrance of the park. Make sure to check the road conditions, as they can vary.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transport, take a bus from Hobart to Bothwell (Tasmanian public transport services). From Bothwell, you will need to arrange a taxi or pre-book a shuttle service to reach the Walls of Jerusalem National Park entrance. Note that public buses may not run frequently, so check the timetable in advance. Ensure your return trip is also planned, as taxis may not be readily available in remote areas.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the Walls of Jerusalem National Park entrance, prepare for a hike to Mount Moriah. The trailhead is well marked, and the hike to the summit is approximately 6 km one way, taking about 3-4 hours. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking boots and pack enough water and snacks for the journey. The trail can be challenging, so it's advisable to start early in the day.
