Car
From Alpbachtal, take the B171 road north towards Innsbruck. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the city of Innsbruck. Once in Innsbruck, follow signs for 'Nordkette' and 'Hafelekar' which will lead you to the Nordkettenbahnen cable car station located at the base of the mountain. There is a parking area available near the cable car station, but be sure to check for any parking fees that may apply.

From Alpbachtal, take the train from the nearest train station (e.g., Alpbach) to Innsbruck. The train journey typically takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Innsbruck main train station, transfer to the bus line 4121 or 94 which will take you to the Nordkette cable car station. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. After arriving at the cable car station, you will need to purchase tickets for the Nordkettenbahnen cable car to ascend to Hafelekarspitze. Be aware that the cable car tickets are an additional cost.
