Getting There

  • Bus

    From Bregenz city center, head to the Bregenz Bahnhof (train station). You can take Bus 38 towards Wasserburg. The bus stop is located right outside the train station. Make sure to purchase a ticket before boarding the bus. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the Wasserburg, Halbinselstraße stop (this will be one of the last stops on the route). From the bus stop, walk approximately 500 meters along Halbinselstraße towards the lake, and you will reach St. Georg on your left.

  • Train and Walking

    From Bregenz, take a train heading towards Lindau (Germany). Trains run frequently from Bregenz Bahnhof. The journey takes around 10 minutes. Get off at Wasserburg am Bodensee station. From the train station, you can walk to St. Georg, which is about 1.5 kilometers away. Head southeast on Bahnhofstraße, then turn left onto Halbinselstraße. Continue straight until you reach St. Georg, which will be on your right.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk from central Bregenz to St. Georg, start at the Bregenz waterfront (the Seepromenade). Head south along the promenade towards the ferry terminal. Continue to follow the signs for Wasserburg, which will lead you along the lakeshore path. This scenic walk is approximately 6 km and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Wasserburg, continue onto Halbinselstraße, and St. Georg will be located at Halbinselstraße 81.
