Car
If you're driving to Eispalast Dachstein, start on the A10 Tauern Autobahn. Take the exit 60 for Schladming and continue onto B320. Follow signs for Ramsau am Dachstein. Once in Ramsau, follow the main road (Schildlehen) until you reach Schildlehen 79, where Eispalast is located. There is parking available near the site, but be aware that parking may incur a fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Eispalast Dachstein using public transport, take a train to Schladming Station. From there, transfer to the local bus service (Bus Line 962) towards Ramsau am Dachstein. The bus will stop at the nearest stop to Eispalast. After disembarking, it is about a 15-minute walk uphill on Schildlehen road to reach Eispalast Dachstein. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may vary.
Cable Car
An exciting way to approach Eispalast Dachstein is by taking the Dachstein Glacier Cable Car. From Ramsau, drive or take a bus to the cable car station at the base of the mountain. The cable car ride takes you up to the glacier area, where Eispalast is located. Note that a round-trip ticket for the cable car costs around €38 for adults, and you should check the operating hours and book in advance if possible.
