From any location in East Tyrol, head towards the town of Dobbiaco (Toblach) in Italy, which is approximately 30 km from Lienz. Take the B100 road, following the signs for Toblach. Once in Toblach, follow the signs that direct you to the Pusteria Valley (Val Pusteria) and continue to the Auronzo di Cadore area. From there, follow the signs for Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Note that there is a toll road leading to the Tre Cime area, and you will need to pay a fee of around €30 for a day pass to access the area.

To reach Tre Cime di Lavaredo via public transportation, take a train from Lienz to Toblach. The train journey takes about 1 hour.
