Getting There

• Public Transport

  To reach the Weihnachtsmarkt Schloss Schönbrunn from Eisenstadt, first make your way to the Eisenstadt train station (Eisenstadt Bahnhof). From there, take the train towards Vienna (Wien). Trains are frequent, so check the schedule for the next departure. Once you arrive at Wien Meidling station, transfer to the U6 subway line in the direction of Siebenhirten. After 4 stops, get off at the station called 'Hietzing'. From Hietzing station, exit and walk towards Schönbrunner Schlossstraße. You will see signs directing you to Schloss Schönbrunn. The Weihnachtsmarkt is located in the courtyard of the palace.

• Bus

  From Eisenstadt, head to the nearest bus stop and take the bus that goes to the Vienna area. You may need to transfer at a major hub, such as the Vienna International Centre (VIC), depending on the bus service. After arriving in Vienna, look for bus lines that head towards Hietzing or directly to Schönbrunn. Once you reach Hietzing, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Schloss Schönbrunn; it’s a short walk from the bus stop.

• Walking from Hietzing Station

  If you arrive at Hietzing station via train or bus, exit the station and head east towards Schönbrunner Schlossstraße. Walk straight for about 10 minutes, and you will see the grand entrance to Schloss Schönbrunn. The Weihnachtsmarkt is located within the palace grounds, so you can enter and enjoy the festive market.
