From Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take a train towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Ensure that you check the train schedules ahead of time as they may vary. Once you arrive at Oberammergau station, exit the train and head towards the village center.

From Innsbruck, you can take a regional bus service to Oberammergau. Head to the Innsbruck bus terminal and look for services heading towards Oberammergau. The bus journey might take around 1 hour and 30 minutes. After arriving in Oberammergau, follow the signs to the village center where the museum is located.

Walking from Oberammergau Station
If you arrive at Oberammergau train station, it is about a 10-minute walk to the Oberammergau Museum. Exit the station and turn left onto Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight until you reach the main street (Dorfstraße). Turn right on Dorfstraße and walk for about 800 meters until you see the museum on your left at Dorfstraße 8.
