Travel Guide to Hellbrunner Park

Getting There

• Public Transport

  From the center of Salzburg, head to the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), which is easily accessible by foot or tram. Once you arrive at the station, look for the bus terminal located just outside the main entrance. Take bus number 25 towards 'Hellbrunn' or 'Hallein' and enjoy the scenic ride. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Hellbrunn' stop. From the bus stop, you will see signage directing you to Hellbrunner Park. Follow the path that leads towards the park entrance, which is approximately a 10-minute walk.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, start at the Mirabell Palace, a popular landmark in Salzburg. Head southwest towards the Salzach River. Cross the river via the Makartsteg bridge. Once across, follow the path along the riverbank until you reach the 'Hellbrunner Allee' pathway. Continue on this route, which will lead you to Hellbrunner Park. This walk is approximately 4.5 kilometers and should take around 1 hour, offering beautiful views of the city and surrounding nature.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Salzburg. Begin your ride from the Old Town (Altstadt) and head towards the Salzach River. Follow the bike paths along the river until you reach the 'Hellbrunner Allee' route. This scenic ride will take about 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace. Once you reach Hellbrunner Allee, follow the signs to Hellbrunner Park, which is on your right side.
