From Salzburg city center, head to the bus stop at 'Mirabellplatz' (Mirabell Square). Take bus number 25 towards 'Anif' or bus 21 towards 'Hellbrunn'. The journey takes about 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Hellbrunn' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to Salzburg Zoo Hellbrunn. Follow the signs towards Hellbrunnerstraße, and you will see the zoo entrance on your left.

If you prefer to walk, start from the Mirabell Palace. Head southwest towards the Salzach River, cross the bridge (Makartsteg), and follow the riverbank until you reach the Hellbrunner Allee. Continue along Hellbrunner Allee for about 2 km until you reach Hellbrunnerstraße. Turn left and walk for about 500 meters to reach the zoo entrance. This walk will take you approximately 40-50 minutes.
