From Bad Ischl train station, take bus line 552 towards Kaltenbach. Get off at the 'Kaltenbach-Katrinseilbahn' stop, which is directly at the cable car's valley station. Note that bus 552 operates only on weekdays (Monday to Friday). A single bus fare is approximately €2.50.

From the center of Bad Ischl, walk south on Kaltenbachstraße. The walk is approximately 2.5 kilometers and takes around 30 minutes.

If driving, navigate to Kaltenbachstraße 62, 4820 Bad Ischl. Follow signs for 'Katrin Seilbahn'. Parking is available near the valley station. Parking fees are charged daily. A 24-hour ticket costs €4. Short-stay parking is free for 60 minutes. Reimbursement of parking expenses is offered to guests buying an up and down ticket at the base station.

The final ascent to the Katrin summit requires taking the Katrin Seilbahn. A roundtrip ticket costs €27 for adults, €21 for teenagers (16-17.9 years), and €19 for children (6-15.9 years). Family discounts are available.
