From Hallstatt, take the local bus (543) towards Obertraun. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes. Disembark at the bus stop closest to the World Heritage Spiral in Obertraun. From the bus stop, follow the signs to Welterbespirale, which is about a 15-minute walk. A single bus fare is approximately €3-5. Alternatively, take a ferry from Hallstatt to Obertraun. Check the ferry schedule for departure times. From the Obertraun ferry terminal, walk towards the World Heritage Spiral, which is approximately a 20-minute walk. Follow the main road (B166) north and then turn left onto the path leading to the observation deck. Ferry tickets cost around €3-6.

From the Obertraun train station, walk towards the ferry terminal. Follow the signs for the World Heritage Spiral (Welterbespirale), which is about a 25-minute walk from the train station. Head north along the main road (B166) and then take the designated path to the observation deck. From the center of Hallstatt, walk along the lakeside promenade (Seepromenade) towards the funicular railway station (Hallstatt Salzberg). Take the funicular up to the top station. From there, follow the signs to the World Heritage Spiral (Welterbespirale), a short walk from the top of the funicular. A round-trip funicular ticket costs approximately €20-30.

Display the parking ticket inside the vehicle behind the windshield.
