From the Riesachfall car park (accessible by bus from Schladming), follow the well-marked hiking trail towards the Preintalerhütte. The trail ascends gradually through the forest, offering scenic views. The hike takes approximately 1.5 hours and is suitable for moderately fit individuals. There are no additional costs beyond the bus fare to the Riesachfall car park (approximately €3-5 from Schladming) and the parking fee if you arrive by car.

From Schladming train station, take bus line 960 towards Rohrmoos. Disembark at the 'Untertal' stop. From there, it's a 1.5 km walk to Preintalerhütte. Follow Untertalstraße until you reach the hut. Bus fare is approximately €3-5. Check the bus schedule in advance.

Driving
From Schladming, follow the Untertalstraße into the Rohrmoos-Untertal valley. Continue past Rohrmoos village. The road winds further into the valley, following the Untertalbach stream. You'll reach a parking area near the Riesachfall waterfalls (toll road). From the parking area, it's approximately a 1.5-hour hike to the Preintalerhütte. Parking at the Riesachfall car park costs around €7 per day. The toll for the road is around €6.50.
