Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Sankt Ulrich bei Steyr, which serves as the nearest town to Dambergwarte. From the center of Sankt Ulrich, drive north on the L1225 road for approximately 4 kilometers. Follow the signs to Dambergwarte, which will direct you onto a narrower access road. The parking area is located near the base of the observation deck. Be sure to check for any parking fees that may apply, typically around €2 for a few hours.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Dambergwarte via public transportation, take a train to Sankt Ulrich bei Steyr. Trains run regularly from major cities like Linz and Steyr. Once you arrive at the Sankt Ulrich train station, you will need to take a local bus (Bus Line 400) in the direction of 'Dambergwarte.' The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. You will need to purchase a bus ticket, which costs approximately €3.50. After disembarking at the Dambergwarte stop, follow the short walking trail leading to the observation deck, which is well-marked.

Starting from the town center, follow the trails marked for Dambergwarte, which will lead you through beautiful forested areas. The hike is approximately 2 kilometers and takes about 30-40 minutes. Ensure you wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water, as the terrain can be uneven in parts.
