To reach the Museum for Contemporary History via public transportation, take a train to the Ebensee train station. From major cities like Linz or Salzburg, you can catch a train operated by ÖBB. Once you arrive at Ebensee station, exit and walk towards the bus stop located directly outside the station. Take bus line 521 towards 'Ebensee, Kirchengasse'. Get off at the 'Ebensee, Kirchengasse' stop, which is a short walk from the museum. A bus ticket costs approximately €2-€3.

If driving, head towards the town of Ebensee. From the A1 Autobahn (Salzburg to Linz), take the exit for Gmunden. Follow the B145 road towards Ebensee. Once you enter the town, look for Kirchengasse street. The Museum for Contemporary History is located at Kirchengasse 6, 4802 Ebensee. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations. Parking around the municipal office is subject to a daily charge between 8:00 and 18:00. You can purchase hourly or daily tickets from the machine.
