Public Transport
From Salzburg's city center, the easiest way to reach Schloss Hellbrunn is by bus. Take bus number 25 from the Salzburg train station, Mirabellplatz, or Rudolfskai. The bus ride takes approximately 20-25 minutes. Get off at the 'Schloss Hellbrunn' or 'Hellbrunn Zoo' stop. A single ticket costs €2.50 if purchased from a vending machine or €3.00 if purchased on board. A 24-hour ticket costs €4.90 from a vending machine or €6.40 on board. If you have a Salzburg Card, bus travel is free.
Walking
For a scenic route, consider walking or cycling along the Hellbrunner Allee from the city center. This tree-lined avenue is mostly car-free and offers a pleasant 45-60 minute walk or a 25-minute bike ride to Hellbrunn. From the Mirabell Gardens, head south and follow the signs for Hellbrunn. There are no costs associated with walking or cycling.
