From Riezlern Post, take Bus Line 1 towards Mittelberg. The bus ride is approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Kanzelwandbahn stop. From there, the Kanzelwandbahn cable car provides direct access to the mountain station, which is the starting point for reaching Riezler Alpsee. Bus fare is approximately €2-3.

From the center of Riezlern, follow the signs towards Kanzelwandbahn. The Kanzelwandbahn valley station is easily accessible on foot. From there, take the Kanzelwandbahn cable car to the mountain station. Follow the hiking trails from the mountain station down to Riezler Alpsee. The walk from the Kanzelwandbahn mountain station to Riezler Alpsee is a short, easy stroll.

From Oberstdorf, Germany, drive towards Riezlern, Austria. Note that Kleinwalsertal is an Austrian enclave accessible only via Germany. In Riezlern, follow signs to the Kanzelwandbahn. Limited parking is available at the Kanzelwandbahn valley station. Parking fees apply. As an alternative, consider parking at the Fellhornbahn lift and taking public transport or hiking to Riezlern. Parking costs approximately €11 per day.
