Elisabethpark: A Lakeside Oasis in Zell am See

Getting There

• Walking

  Elisabethpark is centrally located and easily accessible on foot from most points in the town center. From the Zell am See-Kaprun train station, walk along the Bahnhofstraße towards the lake. Turn left onto Seegasse, then right onto Esplanade/Elisabeth Promenade. The park will be on your left, directly adjacent to Lake Zell. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes and offers scenic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. No costs are associated with walking to the park.

• Public Transport

  If arriving by bus, take any of the local bus lines (660, 70, or 71) to the Zell am See Postplatz or Zell am See Bahnhof (train station) stop. From Postplatz, walk along Seegasse towards the lake, then turn right onto Esplanade. From the Bahnhof, follow the walking directions as described above. A single bus fare without the Guest Mobility Ticket is approximately €3.10. Note that if you are staying in any accommodation in Zell am See-Kaprun, you receive the Guest Mobility Salzburg Ticket, which provides free public transport.

• Taxi/Ride-Share

  Taxis and ride-sharing services are available in Zell am See. Request a ride to Elisabethpark, located on Elisabeth-Promenade 4. A short taxi ride from the train station or other central locations will typically cost between €10-€15, depending on traffic and distance.

• Driving

  If driving, navigate to Elisabeth-Promenade 4, 5700 Zell am See. Parking near Elisabethpark is available but can be limited, especially during peak season. Paid parking is available in short-stay zones, with a maximum duration of 180 minutes. Parking fees start at €0.50 for 0-45 minutes, increasing to a maximum of €5.00 for 180 minutes. Alternatively, the Parkhaus Zentrum and Rathaus- und Congressgarage offer covered parking options, but these may be a further walk. Consider using public transport or walking to avoid parking hassles.
