From Mayrhofen town center, the Ahornbahn valley station is easily accessible by local bus or a 15-20 minute walk. Local buses operate frequently within Mayrhofen. A single bus fare within Mayrhofen is approximately €2-3. Alternatively, taxis are readily available and cost around €10-15 for a short trip from the town center to the Ahornbahn.
Walking

From the Mayrhofen train station, follow the main road (Ahornstraße) towards the Ahornbahn valley station. The walk is approximately 1.5 km and takes about 20 minutes. The route is well-signposted. Upon arrival at the Ahornbahn valley station, purchase a ticket for the cable car ascent to Ahornsee. A round-trip ticket on the Ahornbahn costs approximately €27 for adults and €13.50 for children.
Parking

If driving, take the A12 (Inntalautobahn) and exit at "Zillertal", then follow B169 to Mayrhofen. Follow signs to the Ahornbahn. A day parking area is available at the Ahornbahn valley station for a fee. Guests using the Ahornbahn receive a special daily rate of €3. Validate your parking ticket at the cash desks before 5:00 PM.
