  • Public Transport

    From Zell am See, take the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn (a narrow-gauge railway) to Krimml-Hochkrimml station. From there, either walk approximately 3.5 km to the falls or take the Krimmler Wasserfälle bus (line 670) to the Wasserfallzentrum bus stop, which is right in front of the tourist information. The bus ride takes about 5 minutes. Bus fare is approximately €1-€2. Check local bus schedules for specific times and connections.

  • Car

    From the village of Krimml, follow signs for the Krimml Waterfalls. There are several large, paid parking lots available near the entrance to the waterfall trail. The closest parking lot is P4, but P1, P2, and P3 are also within walking distance. Parking fees generally average around €2 per hour. Be aware that the Gerlos Alpine Road (B165) leading to Krimml is a toll road; the toll is approximately €12 per car. Also, note that a vignette is required for use on Austrian motorways.

  • Walking

    From the Krimml town center, follow the well-marked sightseeing path towards the Krimml Waterfalls. The walk to the lower waterfall takes approximately 20 minutes. The path is in good condition, but there is a path charge collected by the OeAV Alpenverein Warnsdorf/Krimml. From the information office of the Alpine Club, it is about a 5-minute walk to the lower Krimml Waterfall.
