From the center of Gerlos, follow the main road towards the Zillertal Arena ski lifts. Continue past the Dorfbahn gondola, and follow the signs for Speicherteich Stoanmandl. The walk is uphill and takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. The path is well-maintained but can be steep in sections. No costs are associated with walking to the reservoir.

Take the local bus from Gerlos to the Zillertal Arena Isskogelbahn. From the Isskogelbahn, follow the hiking trails uphill towards Speicherteich Stoanmandl. The bus fare within Gerlos is approximately €2-3. The hike from the Isskogelbahn to the reservoir takes about 30-45 minutes.
