Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Innsbruck, take a train to Jenbach, then transfer to the Zillertalbahn to Zell am Ziller. From Zell am Ziller Bahnhof, a ski bus will take you to the Rosenalmbahn lift. A single train ticket from Innsbruck to Zell am Ziller costs approximately €15-25. The ski bus is typically free with a valid ski pass.

  • Car

    From the Inntalautobahn A12, take the Zillertal exit. Follow the main road (B169) towards Zell am Ziller. Parking is available at the Rosenalmbahn and Karspitzbahn lifts. Parking is free, except for the Dorfbahn Gerlos parking garage which charges a fee. In winter, access from Mittersill over the Gerlos Alpine Road is free for skiers with a valid ski pass.

More than 40 rustic huts and traditional alpine pastures dot the area, providing opportunities to relax and enjoy local delicacies.
