Bels Park Lake: A Serene Escape in Barishal

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are near the Barisal Railway Station, exit the station and turn left onto Sadar Road. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Chandmari Road. Turn right onto Chandmari Road and continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs for Bels Park Lake as you approach the area. The park is located on your left side.

• Rickshaw

  From any central location in Barisal, such as the main market area or the river port, hire a rickshaw and tell the driver to take you to Bels Park Lake. It is a well-known destination, so most drivers will be familiar with it. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. You will be dropped off near the entrance of the park.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Barisal. Start from the main city square and head towards Sadar Road. Continue straight for 1 kilometer, then turn right onto Chandmari Road. Ride along this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Bels Park Lake. There are bike lanes in some areas, so be cautious of traffic.

• Bus

  If you are near the bus station, take a local bus heading towards Chandmari. Make sure to ask the conductor to let you know when to get off for Bels Park Lake. The bus ride should take about 30 minutes. Once you get off, walk a short distance along Chandmari Road, and you will reach the park entrance.
