Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Barisal, start at the Barisal Railway Station. Exit the station and head south towards Sadar Road. Walk straight on Sadar Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for local landmarks such as the Barisal District Commissioner’s office on your right. Continue walking until you reach Mermaid Coffee Barishal, which will be on your left, right before the intersection with Kawnia Road.

• Rickshaw

  Hail a local rickshaw from wherever you are in Barisal. Inform the driver that you want to go to Mermaid Coffee Barishal on Sadar Road. Most drivers are familiar with the area and will take you directly there. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, look for the café on your left side as you approach the intersection with Kawnia Road.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from a local vendor. Start from the Barisal city center and cycle towards Sadar Road. Follow the same route as if you were walking, keeping to the left side of the road. Be cautious of traffic and pedestrians. After cycling for about 1.5 kilometers, you will find Mermaid Coffee Barishal on your left, right before the junction with Kawnia Road.

• Public Transport (Local Bus)

  Look for a local bus heading towards the Sadar Road area. Once onboard, inform the conductor that you need to stop near Mermaid Coffee Barishal. The bus ride will last about 10-20 minutes based on traffic. After disembarking, walk back towards Sadar Road if necessary, and Mermaid Coffee Barishal will be on your left as you approach the intersection with Kawnia Road.
