Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Lawachara National Park. Once you are in the vicinity of the park, look for signs directing you to the various points of interest. To reach Gazi Point, drive to the main entrance of Lawachara National Park. From there, continue towards the park's internal roads. You may need to pay a small entrance fee to enter the park, typically around BDT 100 per person. Follow the signs or your GPS to Gazi Point, which is located at coordinates 24.3689482, 91.730536. Be cautious of the park's speed limits as wildlife may cross the roads.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take a bus or a shared taxi (CNG) from the nearest city, such as Sylhet, to the entrance of Lawachara National Park. The bus fare is usually around BDT 200-300. Upon reaching the park entrance, you can hire a local guide or a CNG to take you to Gazi Point. The cost for hiring a CNG can vary, but expect to pay around BDT 500-700 for a round trip. Ensure to agree on the fare beforehand. Ask the driver to take you to Gazi Point, which is accessible via the park's internal roads.

• Walking

  Once you are inside Lawachara National Park, if you prefer to walk to Gazi Point, you can do so by following the marked trails. Start from the visitor center or main entrance and follow the trails leading towards Gazi Point. The walk is approximately 2-3 kilometers and can take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trails can be rugged and you may encounter wildlife along the way.
