Getting There

  • Taxi

    From Cherrapunji Bus Stand or your hotel, hire a local taxi to Arwah Cave. The cave is approximately 3.5 km from the bus stand and a 10-minute drive via Sohra-Shella Road. Taxis are readily available in Cherrapunji. A short trek from the parking lot leads to the cave entrance. Expect to pay around ₹250-₹400 for a short taxi ride within Cherrapunji. Parking is available near the cave entrance, and a small parking fee may apply.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Khlieh Shnong area of Cherrapunji, you can walk to Arwah Cave. From the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, it's a 3.5 km walk. Follow the road towards the Sohra-Shella Road, and then take the road towards Arwah Cave. The walk to the cave entrance takes about 15-20 minutes from the parking lot.
