Public Transport
From anywhere in Barbados, the most economical way to reach the Gallery of Caribbean Art is by public bus. Buses regularly serve Speightstown from Bridgetown and other major towns. From the Speightstown bus terminal, walk south along Queen Street for about 2 minutes. The Gallery of Caribbean Art is located in the Northern Business Centre on the left-hand side of the street. The bus fare is BBD $3.50 (approximately US$1.75) per person, each way. Ensure you have the exact fare in Barbados dollars, as change is not given on Transport Board buses.

Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available throughout Barbados. A taxi from Bridgetown to Speightstown will cost approximately BBD $80-100 (US$40-50) and the journey will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. From the taxi stand in Speightstown, the Gallery of Caribbean Art is a short walk south along Queen Street. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

If driving, navigate to Speightstown on Highway 1. Once in Speightstown, follow the signs to Queen Street. Limited parking is available in the town. There are designated two-hour maximum parking spaces and 30-minute delivery zones allocated along Queen Street, Orange Street and Sand Street. Be aware that Queen Street, Orange Street, and Sand Street are one-way streets in a northerly direction. There may be free parking available for customers at the shopping centre at the southern entrance to Speightstown.
