If you are starting from the historic center of Bruges, head towards the Markt square, which is the main square and a well-known landmark. From the Markt, walk straight along Breidelstraat until you reach the intersection with Wollestraat. Turn left onto Wollestraat and continue walking until you reach the end of the street. At the end of Wollestraat, turn right onto Mariastraat and follow this street, which will lead you to the edge of the canal. Cross the canal using the bridge and continue straight until you come to Korenmarkt, which is a bustling square in Ghent. The total walking distance is approximately 3 kilometers and should take around 35-40 minutes.
Public Transport - Bus
From the central area of Bruges, make your way to the bus station at the train station (Brugge Station). Take Bus number 1 towards Ghent. The bus ride will take about 30-35 minutes. Make sure to get off at the Korenmarkt stop in Ghent. Once you exit the bus, Korenmarkt will be right in front of you, making it easy to find. Buses run frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long for one.
Train
To reach Korenmarkt in Ghent by train, first head to Brugge Train Station. Purchase a ticket to Gent-Sint-Pieters station. The train journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Gent-Sint-Pieters, follow the signs to the tram stop located outside the station. Take Tram number 1 towards the city center and get off at Korenmarkt. This will take about 20 minutes. Korenmarkt will be a short walk from the tram stop.
