Walking
If you are in the heart of Bruges, start by heading towards the Markt square. From the Markt, walk towards the Burg square and continue straight along Breidelstraat. After a few minutes, you will reach the canal. Cross the canal via the bridge. Continue straight until you reach the train station, then take a left onto Koningin Astridlaan. Follow this road until you see the signs for the train station. Once at the station, you need to head to the platform for trains to Ghent. It’s a direct train, and the journey will take about 30 minutes. After arriving in Ghent, exit the train station and walk towards the city center, following the signs for 'Stadshallen' and then 'Vrijdagmarkt'.
Bus
From the center of Bruges, make your way to the bus station located near the train station. Look for bus line 1 that goes to Ghent. The bus will take approximately 45 minutes to reach Ghent. Once you get off the bus, you should head straight towards the city center. Follow the signs to 'Vrijdagmarkt'. It’s a short 10-minute walk from the bus station.
Train
Start at Bruges train station. From the station, purchase a ticket to Ghent. The trains run frequently, so you shouldn’t have to wait long. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic route for about 30 minutes. After arriving at Ghent station, exit and follow the signs to the city center. You can walk straight to 'Vrijdagmarkt' from the station, which will take around 20 minutes.
