Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Brussels Central Station, exit the station and head northwest towards Rue de l'Evêque. Turn left onto Rue de l'Evêque and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Boulevard de l'Impératrice. Turn right onto Boulevard de l'Impératrice and walk straight until you reach the large square in front of the Cathedral. The entrance to St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral will be directly ahead.

  • Metro

    From any location within Brussels City Center, you can access the Brussels Metro. If you are closest to the Central Station, take Metro Line 1 or 5 in the direction of Gare de l'Ouest. Alight at the next station, which is Parc. Once you exit the station, turn right and walk down Rue de la Loi. Continue straight until you reach the Cathedral, which is visible from the street.

    If you are near the Place de la Bourse, you can catch Tram 81 or 82. Board the tram and travel towards the stop 'Sainte-Catherine'. Once you alight, walk back along Rue de la Croix de Fer, turning left onto Boulevard de l'Impératrice. Continue walking straight for a few minutes, and you will arrive at St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral.

    You can also take Bus Line 29 or 63 from the nearest bus stop. If you are near the Place Royale, catch the bus and alight at the stop 'Sainte-Gudule'. From there, walk straight down Rue de la Loi, and you will see the Cathedral appear at the end of the street.
