Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to the city of Ghent. Use the E40 motorway and follow the signs for Gent. Once you reach Gent, take the exit towards the city center. Follow the signs for 'Universiteit Gent' as you approach the center. Turn onto Karel Lodewijk Ledeganckstraat; the Botanical Garden will be on your left at number 35. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to check for parking regulations.

• Train

  For those arriving by train, take a train to Gent-Sint-Pieters station. Upon arrival, exit the station and look for bus stop 1. Board bus number 38 or 39 towards the city center. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Karel Lodewijk Ledeganckstraat' stop. The Botanical Garden will be a short walk from the bus stop; just head down Karel Lodewijk Ledeganckstraat, and you will find it at number 35.

• Bus

  If you are using the local bus system, check the schedule for buses heading towards the city center. Buses 3, 4, or 9 typically stop near the Botanical Garden. Get off at the 'Karel Lodewijk Ledeganckstraat' stop, which is directly adjacent to the garden. The entrance is located at number 35.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, Ghent has a network of cycling paths. Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Head towards the city center and follow the signs for 'Universiteit Gent'. Karel Lodewijk Ledeganckstraat is easily accessible by bike. You can lock your bike at the designated bike parking area near the entrance of the Botanical Garden at number 35.

• Walking

  If you are in the vicinity of the city center, walking to the Botanical Garden is a pleasant option. From the main square (St. Bavo's Square), head south towards the 'Karel Lodewijk Ledeganckstraat'. The garden is about a 15-minute walk from the square. Simply follow the street signs directing you towards the 'Universiteit Gent', and you will arrive at number 35.
