Getting There

Car
From Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, head south on the main road (the only road in the sanctuary) towards the junction at the entrance. Continue straight for about 6 miles until you reach the junction with the Hummingbird Highway. Turn left onto the Hummingbird Highway (also known as the Southern Highway). Continue for approximately 5 miles. You will see signs for Billy Barquedier National Park. The park entrance will be on your right at '17 1/2 miles Hummingbird Hwy'. Make sure to check the park hours, as it is open from 8 AM to 4 PM daily.

Public Transportation
Take a bus from Crooked Tree to Belize City. Buses run frequently and the ride takes about 30-45 minutes. Once in Belize City, transfer to a bus heading towards Dangriga. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Hummingbird Highway. After approximately 45 minutes, ask to be dropped off near the entrance to Billy Barquedier National Park. Make sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they can vary, and be prepared to wait for your connection.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary to Billy Barquedier National Park. Agree on a fare before starting your journey; the cost is typically around $50-70 BZD (Belize Dollars) depending on your negotiation skills and the taxi driver. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
