Car
From Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, head south on the Mountain Pine Ridge Road. Follow the road for approximately 20 miles (32 km) until you reach the junction with the Western Highway (Philip Goldson Highway). Turn right onto the Western Highway and continue for about 12 miles (19 km) until you reach the town of San Jose Succotz. Look for signs directing you to Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. There is a small parking area near the ferry landing.

From Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, you can take a local bus to the town of San Ignacio. Once in San Ignacio, transfer to a bus or taxi heading to the town of San Jose Succotz. The bus ride to San Ignacio will take approximately 30-45 minutes, and from there, it’s a short 10-15 minute ride to San Jose Succotz. In San Jose Succotz, you will need to take a short walk to the ferry terminal where you can cross the Mopan River. The ferry ride costs approximately $5 BZD (Belize dollars) per person.
