From Sarteneja, start by heading southeast on the main road towards the Corozal Town direction. Stay on this road for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the junction with the Northern Highway (also known as the Philip Goldson Highway). Turn left onto the Northern Highway. Continue on this highway for about 1 hour until you reach Belize City. In Belize City, follow signs to the Belize City ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Chetumal, Mexico, which usually takes about 1 hour. After arriving in Chetumal, drive towards Cancun via the Federal Highway 307 for about 4 hours.
