Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Jakar Dzong, exit the dzong and head east towards the main street. Continue along the main street, passing local shops and eateries. After approximately 15 minutes of walking, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path, which leads directly towards Jamphel Lhakhang. Follow this path for about 10 more minutes. You will see the temple on your right, marked by a prayer flag and a large gate.

If you are at the Jakar market area, exit the market and head towards the main road leading south. Walk for about 20 minutes until you reach the junction with a prominent signpost. At the junction, take a right turn. Continue walking down this road for another 15 minutes. Jamphel Lhakhang will be on your left, identifiable by its traditional architecture and colorful prayer flags.
