Getting There

    If you are in Jakar town, head north towards the main street called 'Jakar - Trongsa Road'. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit to stay on Jakar - Trongsa Road. After about 500 meters, you will see a sign for Kurjey Lhakhang on your left. Follow the path leading off the main road, which will take you directly to the temple entrance. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle in Jakar and head towards the 'Jakar - Trongsa Road'. Cycling north, keep an eye out for the roundabout after about 1 kilometer. Take the first exit to stay on the main road and cycle for another 500 meters. Look for the sign indicating Kurjey Lhakhang on your left. Follow the path to the temple, which is approximately 2.5 kilometers from Jakar town. The cycling duration is roughly 15-20 minutes, depending on your speed.

  • Hiking

    For an adventurous option, you can hike from Jakar to Kurjey Lhakhang. Start from the center of Jakar and head towards the Jakar - Trongsa Road, then follow the same route as for walking. However, instead of taking the road, you can opt for a trail that runs parallel to it. This trail may take you through beautiful landscapes and local villages. The hike is about 2.5 kilometers and will take around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your pace.
