Walking
If you are starting from Bumthang's main town area, head towards the Bumthang - Ura Highway. Walk along the main road that leads northeast out of Bumthang. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach a small bridge over the river. Cross this bridge, and continue straight on the highway. Taa-Dzong བལྟ་རྫོང་། is located approximately 2 kilometers beyond the bridge on the left side of the highway. Look for signs indicating the heritage museum, and you will see the entrance shortly after.
Walking
If you are near the Jakar Dzong (Fortress), exit the Dzong and turn left onto the main road. Continue walking down this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Bumthang - Ura Highway. Turn right onto the highway and follow the previous instructions towards Taa-Dzong, which is about 4.5 kilometers from this junction.
Walking
From the Ura village, if you are spending time there, start walking towards the Bumthang - Ura Highway. Once you reach the highway, turn left and walk for approximately 5 kilometers. Taa-Dzong will be on your right. Keep an eye out for the signage as you approach.
