Getting There

Car
From Gasa, head south on the Gasa - Punakha highway (NH 5). Follow the road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction at Chuzom. Continue straight at the junction and follow the signs leading to Drugyel Dzong. The road will take you through scenic views of the Bhutanese countryside. After about 15 kilometers from the junction, you will arrive at Drugyel Dzong, which is well-marked along the route. There is no entry fee to visit the Dzong.

Public Bus
Begin your journey from the Gasa bus station. Take a bus heading towards Punakha. The bus will travel along the Gasa - Punakha highway, and you will need to get off at the Chuzom junction. This part of the journey may take about 1 hour. Once at Chuzom, you can catch a local taxi or a shared vehicle that goes directly to Drugyel Dzong. The taxi ride from Chuzom to Drugyel Dzong will take an additional 15-20 minutes and may cost around 300-500 Ngultrum, depending on the negotiation.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a shared taxi from Gasa to Drugyel Dzong. You can find shared taxis at the Gasa taxi stand. The fare will typically be around 800-1000 Ngultrum per person, and the journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Make sure to confirm the route with the driver before departing.
