    If you are traveling by car, head towards Thimphu from Punakha Valley. The Royal Takin Preserve is located in Motithang, which is approximately a 2-hour drive from Punakha. Follow the route through Wangdue Phodrang and continue towards Thimphu. Once you reach Thimphu, look for the signs directing you towards Motithang. The preserve is situated near the city center, so you should easily find your way. Parking is available near the entrance.

    To reach the Royal Takin Preserve using public transportation, take a bus from Punakha to Thimphu. The bus fare is approximately 150-200 Nu (Bhutanese Ngultrum) and the journey takes around 2 to 3 hours.
