Getting There

Walking
Start from the center of Thimphu, at the Clock Tower Square. From the Clock Tower, head south along Norzin Lam street. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by several shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the Tashichho Dzong on your left as you walk, it’s a prominent landmark. After about 20-25 minutes of walking, you will come to a junction. Take a right at the junction onto a smaller road. Walk for another 500 meters, and you will see the entrance to Tarayana Park on your left.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Thimphu. Start at the Clock Tower Square and cycle south on Norzin Lam street. Follow the same route as for walking, cycling at a leisurely pace. The distance of 1.5 kilometers will take approximately 10-15 minutes on a bicycle. Once you reach the junction, turn right and continue cycling for another 500 meters to reach Tarayana Park on your left.

Public Transport (Bus)
While there is no direct bus service to Tarayana Park, you can take a local bus from the main bus terminal in Thimphu. Look for a bus heading towards the Tashichho Dzong area. Get off at the nearest stop to the Dzong. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk. Head south along the road until you reach the junction, then turn right and proceed for another 500 meters to find the entrance to Tarayana Park on your left.
