Getting There

Walking
Start from the center of Thimphu, at the Clock Tower Square. Head northwest on Norzin Lam for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach the Tashichho Dzong. From Tashichho Dzong, continue walking along the main road, Gaden Lam, for approximately 1 kilometer. After you pass the National Library, you will see a sign for Zilukha Nunnery. Follow the path uphill leading towards the nunnery for about 200 meters, and you will arrive at Zilukha Nunnery.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the main bus station in Thimphu, take bus number 2 which heads towards Zilukha. After approximately 15-20 minutes, disembark at the Zilukha stop. From there, walk uphill for about 10 minutes along the path that leads directly to the Zilukha Nunnery entrance.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Clock Tower Square and cycle northwest along Norzin Lam. Continue straight until you reach the Tashichho Dzong.
