Walking
From the center of Thimphu, head towards the Clock Tower Square. Once you reach the square, take the road that leads to the National Library. After passing the library, continue straight until you reach the junction at the Wangditse Monastery. At this point, you’ll see signs indicating the direction to Sangaygang. Follow the signs, and the road will lead you up the hill towards Sangaygang. The trailhead for the Sangaygang – Phajoding Trail begins here.

Walking
If you are near the Bhutan Postal Service, exit onto Norzin Lam and walk towards the Tashichho Dzong. Once you reach the Dzong, you can find the path leading to Sangaygang. Follow the path that winds around the Dzong, and it will lead you to the Sangaygang area. Look for any signs indicating the Phajoding Trail, which starts from the Sangaygang viewpoint.
