Getting There

Walking
From the center of Punakha, start at the Punakha Dzong. Head east on the main road, following signs for Thimphu. Continue walking for about 30 minutes until you reach the junction at Wangdue Phodrang. From there, you will need to take a local bus or a shared taxi to Thimphu. Once you arrive in Thimphu, ask for directions to Pedzoe Lam where the National Library & Archives of Bhutan is located. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus station.

Public Transport
From Punakha, go to the main bus terminal and find a bus heading towards Thimphu. The bus journey takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you reach Thimphu, disembark at the main bus station. Walk towards Pedzoe Lam, which should take around 15 minutes. The National Library & Archives of Bhutan will be on your left side.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Punakha and head towards Thimphu. Follow the main road east from Punakha, which will take you through scenic landscapes. The ride will take around 2 hours. Once you reach Thimphu, use a map or ask locals for directions to Pedzoe Lam. The library is centrally located and should be easy to find.
