Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Sarpang. Head north on the main road towards Wangdue Phodrang. Continue for approximately 35 kilometers until you reach the junction to Phobjikha Valley. Turn left and follow the signs for Phobjikha. After about 20 kilometers, you will arrive at the entrance to Phobjikha Valley. From there, continue for another 10 kilometers until you see the sign for Gangtey Monastery on your right. The monastery is located at F5M7+WV9 Phobjikha Valley, Nubding.

Public Transportation
To reach Gangtey Monastery using public transportation, start your journey from Sarpang by taking a local bus heading towards Wangdue Phodrang. Make sure to inform the driver that you wish to stop at the junction for Phobjikha Valley. Once you arrive at the junction (after approximately 1 hour), you can hire a taxi or arrange for a local minibus that operates in the area, taking you into Phobjikha Valley. The fare may vary, but expect to pay around 300-500 Ngultrum for the taxi ride. From the drop-off point, it's a short walk of about 1.5 kilometers to the monastery.
